Self Isolation and Home Schooling Week 2

March 30, 2020by Bobbie0

As we enter week two of this very different, temporary life, there’s going to be moments where little bubbles of doubt, fear, panic, worry and exhaustion rise to the surface in all of us. It’s important to remember during this time, first of all – you’re not alone. You’re absolutely not alone and I think it’s vital to keep in contact with friends and family via text, phone, video call – to just sound off any emotions. You will feel so much better for it.

There is no right or wrong way of coping.  No set way to juggle home-schooling with working from home. Or going out to work and sending your kids to school. There will be days where everything balances perfectly. When you have an amazingly productive day all round. There will also be days where getting everyone dressed and fed for the day will be the biggest achievement – and that’s okay too! When you feel like that, try to remember that this won’t last forever. Embrace each moment for what it is. When you feel overwhelmed, just pause for a while then take baby steps. Do whatever it is that you need to do, that works for you and your family. One step at a time, one mini-goal at a time. Before you know it, you’ll look back and realise that you made it.
