Creativity is known to provide many benefits to people of all different ages. However, the importance of being creative as a child is incredibly beneficial in their growth and development. Creative activities play a vital role with motor, cognitive, social and emotional development, language skills, imagination and experimentation, and visual learning to name just a few. Understanding and embracing the wealth of these benefits, here at Indigo we run a range of creative workshops outside of school holidays that provide children with a more specialised crafting session.
Our creative workshops offer a more personalised experience for children in arts and crafts. Whether the kids are looking to learn a new specialised creative skill to take home, get crafty with festive decorations or immerse themselves into a fantasy world of magic and wonder, Indigo provide a range of exciting workshops across the seasons. Take a look below to explore the workshops we offer…
Is your little one a budding Bear Grylls? Or a cake craft designer in the making? Indigo Arts & Crafts offer specialist art and craft weekend workshops that hone in on a specific skill area of creativity. From bushcraft survival to jewellery making, sugarcraft to eco-printing and many other creative skills, our Whizz-kid Workshops provide an intensive day of focused, creative learning, delivered in a super fun way!
We all know that overwhelming feeling of Christmas arriving like a freight train and the list of things to do gets on top of us. Whether it’s pressies to wrap, people to visit or shopping to be done, there never seems to be enough time to get everything organised! We totally understand that parental dilemma during the festivities.
Our Winter Weekend Workshops run throughout the month of December in the run up to Christmas. Children get to enjoy some festive creative fun such as making lanterns, candles, Christmas crackers, baubles, snow globes, cards and decorations, to name a few. We also love to have fun with kitchen craft, baking and decorating delicious goodies and making other edible seasonal favourites.
The workshops run on Saturdays and Sundays and are from 10am to 4pm. We do offer sibling discounts for brothers and sisters attending together and if you need that extra time on either days, extended times are available.
The world of books and entertainment can be a fantastic place to find creative inspiration and where our imagination can run free. Storytelling provides an infinite source of creative ideas and joy. As part of our workshop collection, we are bursting at the seams with excitement of our newly launched ‘Ultimate Craft’ Experience.
Ultimate Craft days are designed to provide a high quality craft experience for children, incorporating popular themed days from the world of books and entertainment.
